FAQs

Q. When did you realize you wanted to be an actress?
A.
I was twelve when I first verbalized my intentions to become an actress. At age fourteen I joined my High School’s drama team and for the next four years I competed in local, regional, and state competitions.

Q. Why do you want to act?
A. Ironically, I feel more like myself when I’m playing someone else. For me, performing just feels like coming home. I love stepping on the stage, it feels very natural to me. There really is a sense of relief and I feel whole and closer to God.

Q. Why didn’t you persue your dream sooner?
A.
Life took me down a different career and personal path for a while. Personally I’ve had more trials and tribulations than I care to re-live…unfortunately they were health related and in turn depleted me financially. I suppose that’s all I should say about that  matter.
Also, when I was young, my parents were strictly opposed to this career choice, and in turn I had no one to turn to for the emotional support this choice requires. However, the life I’ve lived, and the experiences I’ve come to know are invaluable and will surely add to my depth and range.

Q. What made you go for your dream now?
A.
Now was just the right time. I couldn’t ignore this calling any longer. I made my comeback to acting through something I had never done before 2006 - improvisation. Not only is it a great tool for the actor, the art of improve in and of itself is something I truly enjoy. This also gave me the confidence I needed to really believe that my dreams can come true.

Q. What is your ultimate goal?
A. For myself:
I would like to continue to do stage work and even TV. My ultimate goal however is to do film. Also I would like to write at least one good script (hopefully comedic) someday.
Altruistically: I hope that through acting I am able to change someone’s point of view, or their life circumstances for the better.

Q. How can I help you reach your goals?
A.
Your support is greatly appreciated. Donations (cash, tangibles, or in-kind), emotional support, spreading the word around, relating to this experience - it’s all welcomed!
